Boys over flowers episode 1

boys over flowers

I have just started watching Boys over flowers episode 1 last night and yes i do admit i had really high hopes for this drama to be  a blast..but i finished watching it with a slight annoyance towards Jan Di.

I have seen the taiwanese version which was entertaining to me although the acting was stiff..and i absolutely loved the japanese version and everyone in it…especially oguri shun ehem..

Its only the first im keeping my fingers cross that Gu hye sun will..for the love of god..tone down her acting…cause she looks constipated sometimes with her facial expressions! I mean..i know she’s 25 so maybe she’s trying hard …too hard i pull of a 16 year old girl? Sometimes its unbearable to see her .. i wish i could lean in and smack her across the scene

I adore kim bum..i watched him in rude women and he was really good..but i find it akward when he speaks in english and then flirst with women who could act as his mother haha.

Lee min ho does bear a resemblence to Jerry Yan, i liked his permed hair 🙂 his acting was good to me, and he carried his role well.

Yoon ji hoo..well..i will always be in love with oguri shun..but so far..i think he’s ok..he does look a bit cakey though with all the foundation he has on..perhaps? missing rui already….~~~

and the yo yo yo wassup guy..i have no idea why that was written on the came across as LAME for me and my friends. i really wasnt expecting that one! i couldnt even laugh.

the story was good i think and like any other good kdrama, it was entertaining too.

well..over all..i think the drama still has som good potentials, and regardless of all the flaws i see, the ost bothered me too.., i think this would still be one good drama..and i’ll be focusing on lee min ho for the most parts 🙂 lets hope that all the overacting would gradually be toned down…

Love And Marriage drama

Me and my bff have just finished this drama yesterday boohooo!! I cant express how much i freakishly love this drama!! The first episode already made me want to watch the second one!

I stress again, i am not a fan of melodramas although Stairway to heaven was one of my fave ehem..I decided to watch this one because of KIM JI HOON!! Swoooooonnnn~~~ i first saw him in Flowers for my life which of course is one of my fave kdrama too. Like dramabean says, yes he has those bedroom eyes that makes u go swooonnnnn…haha!

Anyway before i go on any further heres the synopsis from Hancinema

What would happen if a couple manager and a divorce lawyer fall in love? Couple manager’s task is connecting peoples’ love, and divorce lawyer’s job is detaching people’s relationships. Nevertheless, the two jobs share the same conclusion; it’s love. Ganghyeon is a ‘couple manager’. She manages peoples’ arranged marriages, but dreams about her love marriage. She gets out from work for a marriage fraud, and starts to work as a remarriage couple manager. Unmarried woman, who failed in love, enters into the world of remarriage. Hyeonsu is a ‘divorce lawyer’. He married through the arranged marriage, and got divorced. He’s got the wounded heart about the divorcement, and doesn’t know what true love is. Ironically, he needs to help those who have the same pain and trouble that he has.

And heres the casts

You can read more about this drama from Soompi write on how much i adore this drama!! The cast was perfect for each of their character! and i fell in love with Kim min hee’s acting! this was the first time i saw her act and she did it so flawlessly..i found myself wanting to be her..u know what  mean..a happy positive aja-aja girl! ahaha

Kim Ji Hoon was so so adorable i think i could melt if he was near hahaha! ehem..i think he carried his character well as a lawyer and as someone who seems to be in love for the first time.

I really really like Park Ki woong in this drama. Although he did annoy me in the first few scenes with his constant pouting and whining, i eventually warmed up to him and i really liked him in here.

The ex wife..jeng jeng jeng..she seemes distant and cold in the first few scenes,  sometimes i wish someone injected her with ”life” haha. buti’m glad she wasnt the typical clingy ex wife with the motto ” If i cant have him no one can!!” and i was a bit sad to see her last scene with Kim ji Hoon. the part where they reminisce their past..theres always the past that will bond them for the rst of thier life.

I adore her 2 best friends, they seemed like the kind of frens i have around haha, and the little house that they lived in was perfect to me 🙂

i liked that in each episode it has its own story line, and when conflict arrived, it didnt last that long..and the moments between the two main actors were a really really a lot! i think its the first drama that really really showed how in love they were with each other..and those moments are so cute it makes u feel all giddy as if ur he one in love hahha! embarrassing! 😛

i like this part where Kyung Hwan and Kang hyun said thier official goodbyes, i got this from Dramabean 🙂

“I’ve been thinking — love that’s over doesn’t disappear. Love turns you into the other person. As I dated you, I came to like the things you liked. The time I spent with you, our tastes, feelings — they all became me. At first they were only yours, but now they’ve become mine. They say that before falling in love, a man isn’t a man, and a woman isn’t a woman. Thank you. Through knowing you, I’ve become a woman, and through our breakup, I’ve become a person.”

Im missing this drama alot. i loved it to bits..and the ending was perfect with a little twist 🙂

Rude woman/Outrageous woman/The daring sisters

its been a while since i blogged in here 🙂 December was a buzy month, with xmas, new year and of course my Korea trip with my BFF cha hehe. Korea was just wonderful and i cant wait to go there again 🙂

Anyway, i bought the drama The daring sisters on 3rd of January in Centre point. i just wanted to add to my collections of drama’s haha. I’am really really greedy when it comes to korean drama’s 😛

I bought this drama because of Sa kang/ sa gang! i just loved her in Soulmate! and then i found out Kim bum was in it too!!

anyway before i write down my review for this drama, here’s a thing or two about it from Soompi and dramaWiki.

the synopsis

A story inspired by “Desperate Housewives”, this is a korean version of it. Rude Woman (aka Outrageous Women) tells a story about Mi Joo, a divorcee who seek revenge on her ex-husband, Jung Suk, a surgeon who had remarried with his beautiful wife, Eun Young and their daughter Ha Na. Mi Joo then meets Rookie, a former baseball player who happened to be the owner of the house she rents in Korea upon her arrival after 10 years living in U.S with her son, Joon.

the cast

Yoo Ho-Jung as Song Mi Joo
Im Ji-Eun as Kim Eun Young
Jung Woong-In as Jung Suk
Lee Ki-Woo as Jang Woo Jin
Oh Ju-Eun as Yang Da Rim
Sah Gang as Go Sang Mi
Choi Woo-Jae as Jo Tae Joon
Jung Joon-Ha as Baek Uk Nyun
Kim Bum as Jung Hyun Joon
Park Ji-Eon as Jung Ha Na
Ahn Yeon-Hong
Jeon Won-Ju

I liked it fom the first episode, and i gradualy started to love it 😛 for me the story made me laugh in every episode, and alhough i know that Jeong Seok is to be blame for the pain Mi Ju feels, i find myself rooting for him haha. Jung woong in has certainly turn me into a fan of his with his potrayal as Jeong suk, his facial expression was so funny! at times it seemed like he had that Joker Smile going on ahahaha!

I admire Yoo Ho Jung a lot! she’s in her late 3o’s but she stil looks so fresh and young! although she did annoy me abit with her plans for revenge hahai have to admit, she made me laugh a lot too!

As for Da rim ..i don’t think she’s that pretty. She’s the most annoying one in this drama for me. I just wanted her to make up her mind! iher mother is kinda rite, in he dark, men are just men, something like that, the appearance doesn’t really matters, its how you’re taken care of in the future 😛

Lee ki woo as Wu jin ..hmm…he’s so freaking tall man!! I mean, i see a lot of actors run but the way he ran ..with his daddy long legs, i just stared at the screen. What a tall good looking guy! wahahaha! His character was really sweet, trying to break down the walls in Mi ju’s heart. Hei, even if he’s young, love is love rite? now when a younger guy approaches me maybe i’ll consider him 😛

Im Ji-Eun as Kim Eun Young..i didn’t know it was her in Sympathy for Mr veangence, well it was years ago haha. she didn’t really annoy me that much, except for the part where she asked Jeong suk to burn Juns picture after leaving them. that was painful to watch..

Kim bum as Jun..this boy really as the cutest face ever! and when he cried when he finally knew about his father broke my heart. im glad he’s in Boys over flowers! i’ll be watching that drama next..after i finish love and marriage 🙂

Sa kang was Sang mi, her character here reminds me of her character in Soulmate, Naive and soft spoken. I wished she had more screen time!! and i was really interested in her story with her husband! I was hoping for her to diss him and in return that would make him want her more…but…

Overall, each episode entertained me well, some parts were a bit dragging..but just A BIT. And im glad that i wasn’t sniffing all the way through the end. i think i laughed much more haha. I loved that Jun was able to forgive his father, i didn’t want the story to focus on Jun trying to forgive his father and ol haha. the ending was really sweet. I loved the part where Jeong Suk and Mi joo were in the chapel and he was telling her it wasn’t her fault that he left. That was heartbreaking…coz im sure when a husband/wife leaves ther spouses, the first question they’d ask themselves would be, did i do anything wrong? and im glad that Jeong suk really did feel remorseful for abandoning them…one thing i wished happen..i wished Jeons suk knew about Eun youngs affair with Tae Jun her senior..but i guess that would have dragged it into a few more episode. Oh well..i’ll settle with this ending..

I give this a 8/10. i think its a great watch for the family, and it does teaches you a thing or two too in life hehe 😛

1. Letting go of ur grudge is the best means of forgiveness

2. Do not judge a guy by his looks ehem..and vice versa

3. Dont be selfish and toy with others love..

4.Never have extra marital afairs 😛

Im gonna miss this drama..aigooo… glad i watched it 🙂

you can download the soundtrack from Soompi 🙂

i was watching MTV just now, and they showed this new korean boyband SHINee! i was hooked at first sight! the dancing was nicely choreographed and they were really good! the song and music vide for Lovelike oxygen reminded me a bit of Wheesung whom i really like! i just downloaded thier mini album and so far i give them the thumbs up! lets see if they can be as big as DBSK and Super junior!

Someday drama

I have just finished watching this drama! and i must say this didn’t disappoint me at all!  i was skeptic at first whether this would be a good drama but boy am i wrong. this story has the same kind of quirkiness that it has like the drama Alone in love.

Anyway heres the synopsis from yesasia

Although Korean-Japanese cartoonist Yamaguchi Hana (Bae Du Na) has found great success with her romantic comic books, she herself doesn’t believe in love. Raised by her grandmother, she is content to live in her own world of writing and drawing, but one day her comic gets discontinued. Unceremoniously thrown back into the real world, Hana travels to Seoul where she meets Kim Seok Man (Lee Jin Wook), a kind-hearted private investigator with a tragic past, and Go Jin Pyo (Kim Min Joon), a doctor and ardent comic fan who observes life with a detached eye. As Hana retraces the tragic love story of her elderly neighbors with Seok Man and Jin Pyo’s help, she realizes that she herself is experiencing love for the first time.
what i like about this drama is the steady pace and how it allows the main  characters charatcer unfolds. it does fall into the melodrama kind of drama’s but you wont be crying your eyes out every 5 secs haha.

I’m really glad lee jin wook got play the lead role in this drama, beside having a ”killer smile”  i found his presence on the screen really assuring.

Bae doona was in the Host which i loved btw, and although she doesn’t have the normal type of korean beauty im used to seeing, i’m drawn to her face everytime she appears.

as for kim min joon, i haven’t really seen  him in any drama yet, i found his character to be a bit of annoying and in denial. She doesn’t like u so why keep on trying? haha. But he pulled it off quite well though.

as for Oh yoon ah, she was in Alone in Love too, how can i forget anyone in that drama? ;P I’m so glad she didnt turn out to be one of those pathetic side characters we always see. i like her strong character..and it made me wanna be like her. plus she’s gorgeous 😛

i loved the ost! and i loved how the drama was directed and how every episode ended. i thought it was different and unique. overall i give this drama an 8 out of 10 🙂

you can read more about the drama someday in this soompi forum

heres3 of the ost that i really love 😛

01 Someday -융진 jin(‘casker’ vocal)

03 The Fog -부활 (復活)

04 떠나 過去-에코 브릿지(Eco Bridge)

The Devil Mawang

I have just finished watching this drama! my bff cha saw the Japanese version and she was curios about the original version so we decided to watch it. the first few episode didnt impres me that much, but i think after the 3rd or 4th episode..i was taken! firstly, Joo ji hoon is mighty fine in this drama. he looked much better than in Goong which i didnt finish coz….it was too sloww. i think i still had about 2 episode left? anyway, joo ji hoon lost a lot of weight! im not familiar with uhm tae woong. its my first time seeing him in a drama. i think he’s the brother to uhm jung hwa from seducing Mr perfect. i wasn’t rooting for him…but it was still sad when he died in the end.

i think i’m more into those love + comedy type ofkdrama’s than suspense drama’s coz my heart just cant take it hahaha. green rose was a pain to watch…pain as in..i sooo wanted him to have his revenge and i was terrified if he was caught again. every episode was like waiting for my medical checkup result hahhaha. i dreaded the next episode if i knew that the ”hero” was gonna get caught!

anyway, back to Mawang. i found mawang to be emotionless who smirks at the sight of his planning turning out the way he wanted them too. although he seems cold and detach but the presence of Hae in, makes his human side resurface again. it was a pleasure to see all the ”bad people” got what they deserve one by one. seeing him smile everytime his plan worked beautifully really made my day hahaha. i like that the story didnt focus too much on the sappy-ness. it was more towards the mawangs vengeance. i liked also that every character had its own story line, and each of thier storied inter wine with eachothers. and im happy for the loyalties of the other characters towards mawang…because you see, these 2 main characters, mawang and the detective…they aren’t really bad people..

i like the whole tarot storyline . im very interested in Tarot reading too 🙂 it cost a lot though in here 😛 i enjoyed learning what each card represent..and i do believe that these tarot card can say something about the future 😛

another this that i loved about the drama is the OST!! its fantastic!! i loved listening to it everyday and mawangs face would pop up and make me feel all giddy inside wahahaha.

but let me warn you…this isn’t a happily ever after ending, and although it broke my heart into tiny little pieces…i loved the way it ended, it stayed with me for a while…it had  an ending where everything just questions aroused..i dunno how to explain it haha.

but there’s just one thing though..WHO THE HELL STABBED OUR MAWANG???!!

this is my assumption anyway, i think he was hired by the son of the lawyer who was killed in the first scene. haha thats just what i think though:P

When Homicide Detective Kang Oh Soo hit a dead end in his investigation of two seemly unrelated murders, except for the Tarot cards left behind at both crime scenes, he sought help from Seo Hae In, a woman with psychometry ability. She revealed that the killers were different in each murder, but the victims were chosen for their connection to a death of a high school boy. Later, the cases proved to have one more thing in common: the suspects have the same defense attorney, Oh Seung Ha.

Seung Ha’s defense for his clients severely shaken Oh Soo’s conviction to catch the Tarot Card mastermind. Oh Soo was reminded that years ago he had killed a high school classmate in a fight. He was acquitted of all charges and began his life anew. Now, someone has came back to revenge the boy’s wrongful death by killing those who got him off.

Joo Ji Hoon as Oh Seung Ha

Shin Min Ah as Seo Hae In

Uhm Tae Woong as Kang Oh Soo

and heres another pic of him with his sister uhm jung hwa

the synopsis was taken from wiki 😀

heres some of the ost that i really love….

01.JK김동욱 – 사랑하지 말하요 [Love Theme].mp3

03.바비킴&부가킹즈 – 뒷걸음 [Main Theme].mp3

05.박학기 – 날 사랑하나봐.mp3

my rating for this drama? i’d give it an 8 for hte great plot and execution and 10 for the ost!!

Kim Hyun-joong, idol singer of pop boy band SS501will take on the role as RUI/Lei
